Well recently, I convinced 3 of my close friends/besties/sister to get (an' download)SKYPE an' this was to do the Truth or Dare Game but instead we errr, talked instead fer about TWO HOURS!!!

An' then May's download took AGEs, Exceal's one installed but WOULDN'T LET HER SIGN IN!!!

So Exceal made a new one... Which didn't take long of course an' then once May had downloaded her skype, it would let her sign in but WOULDN'T LET HER TALK to us!!! Talk about frustratin'!

Recently saw uhm, Angels an' Demons with May an' a couple of her Massey friends, she discovered Recycle Boutique thanks to me as well!

BLEACH – Soul Society, Shinigami Academy and Seireitei:::
Soul Society is the afterlife itself, with it being separated into two main categories: Rukongai where the normal non-Shinigami people live, and Seireitei, where the Shinigami and the nobility reside.

To become a soul reaper, or Shinigami, one must have reiatsu (aka supernatural powers). Without them, you're virtually powerless. Of course, do not confuse people with reiatsu to be Shinigami or soul reapers. To become a soul reaper, one must go through the Shinigami Academy where one learns the basics: fight hollows and perform soul burials. Once the person has acquired sufficient training in the four forms of combat:
Kidou: Also known as 'Demon Arts' is split into two - Hadou (attacking spells) and Bakudou (binding spells)
 Hakuda: Hakuda is bare-hand military (hand-to-hand) combat in which the Secret Mobile Corps is specialized in.
Agility: -Shunpo: A technique also known as flash step. It allows a Shinigami to move a great distance very quickly within seconds.
-Senka (special): A special type of shunpo where the user move to their opponent’s back, directly attacking, and sealing one's hakusui in one strike.
-Swordsmanship: -Shi-Kai - Another form of zanpakutou most Shinigami’s can perform this all That is needed to be able to perform this is the Shinigami just needs to know there zanpakutou name.
-Ban-Kai - Final release of Zanpakutou! Has Tremendous power and even when reached it takes many years to master.
After then acquiring sufficient training and passed the Shinigami Exam, he or she is ready to become a Shinigami. When one passes, they are then drafted into one of the Gotei 13 Squads (the 13 Division depending on
A Shinigami protects the normal souls from hollows and any other evil things that may attack. The Shinigami’s are all located within Seireitei (Court of Pure Souls) in the Gotei 13 (aka the 13 divisions Imperial Guards) of strong Shinigami that police all the souls and do as their superiors (Vice-Captain, Captain and Central 46) tell them. Once in the soul society you age very slowly and can't turn into a hollow after your life chain goes away.

Summary for First Event:-:
Your character *chooses* to enter the Shinigami Academy in order to get out of the Rukongai Districts (the outskirts where the souls live when they first arrive in Soul Society, also the poorest area but certainly not the worst) in order to live a better life, within the short time you have been living in Rukongai, Soul Society, you have heard of the main characters (Substitute Shinigami Ichigo Kurosaki, Shinigami Rukia Kuchiki) and their friends (Quincy Ishida, and Human: Chad and Orihime).
The game will flow through into a campaign as you progress through the Shinigami Academy.

All that being said, I am still in the middle of organizing everything, I.E. the rest of my Game Rules, the special calls, how the EXP. Points are going to be sorted, how many EXP. Points characters are going to start off with, abilities etc

Recently handed in my English121 Personal Narrative assignment. Still haven't got my grade back (considering that it was due in on Friday 8th August '08, 4pm) but i'm thinking of posting it up on my LJ if I get 65%-75%...

And i've Finally started on my essay for History103. It's kind of hard though, i also have to read through several books for my research. And then i've got to write it all in my OWN WORDS, paraphrase when neccessary and footnote where possible!

Plus i've got to get started on my FTV101 essay of close reading Charlie Chaplin's (Bow Down to Charlie! Bow down to Chaplin!! oh yea!) "Modern Times"...

Anyways, time is getting on and i must get back to writing my History essay!

And i've joined LARPs: One World By Night (OWBN-played once a month, on the 1st saturday of a new month) and CHIMERA: Flight Of The Hindenberg (FOTH-23rd Saturday, 7.30 til 11pm. NOte to Self: FOTH briefing 7-7.30pm)

anyways, in OWBN, i'm LARPing a chara called Hiro (as fan ish dedication to TV series Heroes) and a Bruja...

In FOTH, i'm LARPing a chara called Carla Denham (yes, 'tis the chara from King Kong... except in female form) and i think it's gonna be quite an interesting LARP! Especially as in my items/abilities, i only have the Map (of Skull Island). And my close friend Mila complained that the only thing she has is a pen and notebook!!! ^.^
Ah~ well! Never mind ae? ^.^

それが　今、私の従姉弟が　行っている　幼稚園なの。　いつもそこに行くと楽しんでいる姿を　ライブカメラから見られるんのな。　今日、愛樹本当に動きたい気分だったから、いすからから立って動き出したんや。　でも、それすると・・・ケアギバーが　「愛樹、まだ立っちゃいかんよ。　皆で　ごちそうさまでしたを言お。」て言うかのうせいが　今日多かったや。　（でもこれは　知らんよ、だってライブカメラからは　声とかは聞きとらへんからな。）

いつも、毎週二回ぐらい行ってるんのね。そして、8時半と9時の間は　ドロップオフタイムで、午後の5時が、ぴくアップタイムなんだ。
ちょうさっきまで、園庭の中で、愛樹が　サッカーボールをけってたんだけどもう砂場のよこで、何かにのぼってる　（サドル　かしら？）みたいだな。　いや、まちがえた・・・　もう園庭から出て　幼稚園の中にもう入っていました!!!　そして　もうそろそろ　お昼ごはんを食べるみたい。　でもその前には・・・お洋服着替えで～す!　それで、手をあらったら、自分のイスにすわったら、食べるもんや。　でもじつはねー・・・愛樹はな、食べ物クウノめちゃハイなんだ。その後、自分のを食べた後　愛樹はいつもほかの人の食べ物を　ジーット見てるのよな・・・

今日整理してる間に、（おじいちゃんの物よ。おじいちゃんの物）いっぱいシャツとか、クツシタとか　出てきたのよね。そして、おじいちゃんがいつも　朝のお散歩に行く時　（そして　熱いお湯で髪の毛を伸ばす時間が無い時だけ）帽子をかぶってたんだって。　見つけたらおばあちゃんが　そう言ってた。

whilst in japan so ah can't spend too much time on the comp!
mah cuzi is a lot of fun tah be with (he's only 2yrs old and so cute! and adorable!) but both mah cuzis see me as a big onee-san, 'stead of a big itoko...which ah consider quite interesting...right now, we jis found a blue toy (something taht connects the crane...???) and he's like a parakeet! repeats everything ye say...absolutely adorable!
He also likes tah play with the vacuum cleaner (but is afraid of the noise it makes), his name is Aiki (can anyone guess wat it means in english?)

BTW...'fore ah forget, Simplicity, ah bought ye a prezzie already (as promised!)...

きのうの夜　茂子叔母ちゃんと話してる間、カヒロが　「鬼嫁日記：いい湯だな」って言うドラマを見てた間にな、茂子叔母ちゃんと話してる間だな、茂子叔母ちゃんが　こう言ってた　「ふつう日本で　新しいアニメとかドラマはな、四月に放送すんの。」
そして　わしが思ったのはな、「じゃ、新しいドラマやったら、第二まで見られへんや!」それ思うと　むかつくわ。

今朝、朝ごはんを食べた後、メチャ面白い事がおこった。
カヒロがな、つかさミステークを　しました！（つかさは、花より男子の　メーンキャラなのね、そしてフラワ４　（やくして、F4) の　リーダー）カヒロが　「たいこばら」って　言ってしまった!　本当は　「たいこばん」が、言いたかったんだけどな・・・

"The Man Who Couldn't Dance"
Directed by Barry Prescott

Task1: Non-Digetic sound

in The Man Who Couldn't Dance by Barry Prescott, music is used as the non-digetic sound to create, at the beginning of th efilm, a sense of anticipation as it goes from soft to loud, building up in strength. This music is used to show the audience the difference between a dream sequence and reality. This is shown as the music peters out as the camera tilts down to Alge who proceeds to wake up.

Sound effects such as music often help to create a particular mood. For example, when Alge goes to the Dancing for the Disabled calss, the music starts off as if it's circus-like, and the audience sees the purple-clothed old ladies all trying to dance but as the scene continues, the music subtly changes into something resembling a horror-music as Alge dances with one old lady. This horror-like music lets the audience know that this is pure torture for him as all he wants to do is dance with real, proper young ladies. The music also leads the audience towards the dismembering of the old lady.

At the end of the film, the music is yet again giving off a sense of anticipation and slowly builds up as Alge walks around the dance room asking the young ladies if they would like to dance. When at last two young ladies push another lady forward, the music is loud. Signifying to the audience that Alge has reached his dream of wanting to dance. The music at that point also sounds poignant to the point of sad as it will influence the audience to feel happy yet sad for Alge who, as an amputee, is living his dream.

Grade awarded: Excellent ... teachers comment: very perceptive and fluently written.

"The Man Who Couldn't Dance"
Directed by Barry Prescott

Task1: Lighting

In "The Man Who Couldn't Dance" by Barry Prescott, lighting is used to clearly represent the difference between Alge's dream and his harsh reality. For example, near the beginning of the film, there is a soft glow about the screen as well as the dresses being colourful, there is also a subtle green colour in the background as it pans around the room finally landing on Alge and his partner who are spotlighted. However, as Alge wakes up, the camera zooms from a wide shot to a close-up of Alge's face, there is no dreamy, glow-like quality, instead, it is a much harsher light, throwing the room into an unbalanced state as it reveals the true cruelty of reality.

Soon after Alge wakes up, his wife takes him to the Dancing for Disabled class. When Alge and his wife enter into the hall, the audience sees that the hall itself is rather dimly lit which leads to a rather spooky-horrendous atmosphere. From this lighting, the audience can tell at a glance that something not-so-good is going to happen to Alge sooner or later. And indeed, when they turn the corner and thus into the dancing room, the room is also lit in a way that it is comically horror-ish. This lends to the feeling that reality, tends to be a lot crueller then dreams. The fact that Alge's wife deserts Alge also contributes to this feeling.

Near the end of the film, after Alge gets a dance instructor and straps himself onto the dance instructor, they walk into the hallway of (and now this time) Dancing for the normal class. The audience can immediately detect the difference in light from the time he walked in for dancing for the disabled and when he walks in, now supposedly able to walk. The lighting in this scene has turned a mellow yet subtle green, while we also see Alge wearing a green suit. This indicates, to the audience that the line between reality and dream is gone and that he is now LIVING in his dream. This is backed up by the fact that when he turns into the dancing room, it is lit up with soft golden golds and subtle greens, exactly the same as the beginning of the film, Alge's dream to dance like any normal person.

Task1: Editing-Juxtaposition

In "The Man Who Couldn't Dance" by Barry Prescott, juxtaposition of shots is used in the editing process to show the co-ordination of feet with the awkwardness of the faces of those who are dancing.

The first time it is used, the scene shown is one of the old ladies trying to dance. This juxtaposition shows the audience just how badly the amputee, Alge, and the old lady dance and how awkward it is for them, especially when the old lady starts to lose her feet and hands. This is juxtaposed with their faces. The old lady looking content and also looking as if she was self-assured that she CAN dance. However, a juxtaposition in itself, Alge is looking horrified to be dancing with this old lady. Therefore, he doesn't improve his dancing as he doesn't dream to dance with an old lady wearing purple clothing.

The second time juxtapositon is used, the scene shown is that of Alge's wife breaking a golf club (patter/wood) while looking furiously frustrated at Alge who is sitting on his bed looking at his amputated legs and trying a hand at being sarcastic. Thsi juxtaposition and the scene before that (where Alge's wife is trying to get Alge interested into other things OTHER than dancing) shows the audience how FAR Alge's wife is willing to go to support Alge in pursuing his dream. However, this is juxtaposed with Alge himself looking forlorn and looking as if he is feeling sorry for himself. The audience can also tell from his slumped-in-bed figure that he has given up all hope of his dream of dancing. However, when his wife comes in looking absolutely frustrated to the point of bursting and Alge becomes sarcastic, she is driven to the point to BREAK the golf club in half and say in a furious tone, "MINI-golf, then!" the shot is suddenly juxtaposed with Alge brightening up as an idea of sorts occurs to him.

The next time juxtapositon occurs, the scene shown is that of when the dance instructor and Alge are strapped to each other and are in the dancing for the normal people clss. Alge asks one of the three beautiful ladies for a dance, she accepts and they are dancing away. The camera focuses on the steps and feet then juxtaposes with the face. The feet are now dancing beautifully and Alge's face looks delighted at finally achieving his dream.

Grade awarded: Merit ... Teachers comment: not as clearly analysed but you still make some excellent observations.

^something one of mah uncles is well, not obsesses but...interested in and got me hooked in it...btw, he's got the whole entire series on tape (coz it was shown on Japanese tokyo tv) plus, he also has digest (where its a shortened vrsn...basically like a summary of waht happend in each episode) vrsns as well...

Right, the adaptation from manga to movie was awful, completly ruined the story, first off, this ending is a mix between the ending of the manga of where L dies and where Light dies, in the manga, Rem kills L and Watari and it then skips ahead 10 or more years. A "2nd" L appears under the name of Near, and in the end, Light gets tricked the same way he did in the movie and dies. I know they had to find a way to finish the story, but that was awful, i hated it.

PPL!plz dont compare the movie with the manga or the anime! i thought the ending was good, maybe its not the same as the manga but they had to end the movie somehow.. They didnt include Near and Mello cuz if they were added the movie would be too long. The actors did a great job so stop discriminating them.
